Groat (Silver, 23 mm, 2.20 g, 12 h), Tower (London) mint, 1361-1369. ✠ EDW[ARD:DEI:G]:REX:AnGL:DnS:hYB Crowned bust of Edward III facing, within double polylobe. Rev. ✠ POSV - I:DEVM - ADIVTO - RE:MEV / CIVI - TAS - LON - DON Long cross pattée with three small pellets in each angle. North 1252. SCBC 1616. Beautifully toned. Very minor scratches, slightly clipped and some areas of weakness, otherwise, very fine.
